SHOWING YOUR CHILD HOW TO WASH HANDS AND WHY IT’S IMPORTANT
Step 1: Teach your child how to wash their hands. First show them and then help them to do so the right way. Support this with little fun facts on hygiene. Like “did you know, washing your hands keeps the stomach monster away?”
Step 2: Before meals make a game out of it and ask them if they remember what they have to do before eating. If they guess right, reward them with extra TV time or an extra cookie.
Step 3: As time goes and they will start to wash their hands on their own. Make sure to observe and keep note if they’re doing it correctly but also make sure to give them space to learn on their own.
*Parents are required to accompany their children throughout the activities
